The Install Process
I’ve converted to using Tom’s great “install-hotfixes” PowerShell module to install my updates these days. Here’s the output. Note that I’ve dropped ALL of the pre-req’s in the one folder (including the old ones I already believe I have installed) and am letting them fight it out:
Reboot?
Alas, yes – although the KB says no. The MSO update set the reboot flag apparently. (Click the image for a more legible view).

Here’s a before and after comparison of an x86 client on a Windows 7 machine.

3009719 Lync 2013 freezes when a toast notification of a call appears
I started to be happy, as I am struggling such an issue on all of our company-imaged laptops (cannot start or receive any kind of calls, all such attempt immediately freezes the Lync2013 application, it has to be killed from TaskManager). So I visit the KB article to see under what circumstances the issue surfaces. The answer: NADA, thats not my business. Pathetic the quality of B articles and issues descriptions MS is releasing in the last 2-3 years.
Seems moderating comments is not your favorite past time activity :S
It’s the wading through the spam that’s the bigger deterrent… :-(
I see what you mean. But if you dont moderate valid comments from your readers, they will abandon your blog, or wont comment some useful reply to your posts. You get spam even with this “math-captcha” active?
